At least 10 hospitals and clinics in the Gaza Strip were struck by Israeli airstrikes in the past week, leading to service shutdowns and overwhelming remaining healthcare facilities, according to Haaretz. This escalation coincided with the launch of Israel’s ground operation, the Gideon Chariots, which began on May 18 after approval from the Israeli Security Cabinet on May 4. The Gaza Health Ministry reported that 400,000 people are now without access to medical services, while the World Health Organization documented 28 attacks on hospitals in the region.
