The ongoing two-year conflict between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces has displaced around 12 million people, creating what UN officials describe as the world’s most devastating aid crisis. While some refugees have returned to Khartoum, many in neighboring countries like Egypt and Chad face dwindling services as aid cuts are implemented, including reductions by the United States.
