Turkiye to get €700m from Islamic Development Bank for healthcare projects

The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group announced €700 million in financing for transformative projects in Turkiye, focusing on disaster-resilient healthcare services and recovery for municipalities affected by the February 2023 earthquakes. Of this amount, €500 million is allocated to the Disaster-Resilient Health Infrastructure Project, which aims to reconstruct two major hospitals in Istanbul, increasing their earthquake resilience and capacity by adding nearly 2,500 beds. This initiative addresses the growing need for sustainable and high-quality healthcare in the city.
