2 Waukegan public works employees electrocuted, officials say – NBC Chicago

Two employees from Waukegan’s Public Workers department were electrocuted while trimming trees after their crane made contact with a power line at Pershing and Greenwood Avenue. The workers sustained injuries, with one being flown to a Chicago hospital for electrical burns and the other transported to a local hospital. ComEd was called in to ensure no further danger from the power lines, and the severity of their injuries remains undisclosed at this time.
