In South Korea, over 30 wildfires fueled by dry winds have resulted in two firefighters losing their lives, with hundreds of people evacuated from their homes. The largest fires are in southeastern regions, including Sancheong, where 260 people sought shelter as flames spread. Emergency workers are facing challenges in containing the fires due to the mountainous terrain and strong winds, with over 1,600 personnel, helicopters, and vehicles deployed to combat the blazes.
