18 workers injured in steel plant accident in Maharashtra’s Wardha district – India TV

At the Evonith Steel Plant in Maharashtra’s Wardha district, 18 workers were injured in an accident during the slag cooling process in the furnace area. Most workers suffered burn injuries and were promptly taken to the hospital, with three of them transferred to Nagpur for further treatment. Steel slag, a by-product of steelmaking, is produced during the separation of molten steel from impurities.
