Floods in Gilgit-Baltistan’s Diamer district have damaged dozens of houses, amenities and blocked major highways.
A landslide in northern Pakistan, triggered by torrential monsoon rains, has resulted in at least three deaths and left 15 people missing, while floods have destroyed homes and infrastructure in Gilgit-Baltistan. Nationwide, monsoon-related incidents have claimed 221 lives since late June, with ongoing risks of heavy rains and flash floods exacerbating the situation.
