Delhi’s Environment Minister, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, announced that starting Thursday, private vehicles below BS-VI standards and not registered in Delhi will be prohibited from entering the capital, as part of the Graded Response Action Plan (Grap) to combat pollution. Additionally, vehicles without a valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate will be denied refueling. Sirsa emphasized the government’s commitment to reducing vehicular emissions and mentioned ongoing measures, including the electrification of public buses. Enforcement teams will monitor entry points to ensure compliance with these restrictions.
