Ram Vilas Vedanti, a leader of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and former BJP MP, passed away at 67 due to a heart attack in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. He had been hospitalized with septicemia and was on ventilator support following a significant drop in blood pressure and kidney failure. Despite attempts to transfer him to AIIMS Bhopal, poor visibility hindered the evacuation. Vedanti, born on October 7, 1958, was the executive president of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, and his last rites will be conducted in Ayodhya.
