Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences for the victims of a tragic bus accident in Andhra Pradesh that resulted in nine fatalities and 20 injuries. He announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. The accident occurred at Rajugarimetta on the Chintoor-Maredumilli ghat road, likely due to the driver’s inability to see a curve in heavy fog. The bus was transporting passengers from Chittoor to the Sri Rama temple in Telangana’s Bhadrachalam.
