Court: CBI Warrant Incorrectly Named Arrested Rubaiya Abduction Suspect
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The court rejected the CBI’s request to remand Shafat Ahmed Shangloo in judicial custody, stating that his name was mistakenly included in a warrant. The judge noted that Shangloo was categorized in the 1991 chargesheet as someone released due to a lack of evidence and not among the absconding accused. Additionally, warrants against seven other suspects were canceled for similar reasons. The defense argued that Shangloo’s inclusion in the FIR was erroneous, reinforcing the court’s decision.
