NEW DELHI: On December 4, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Russian counterpart Andrey Belousov will discuss future defense acquisitions during the annual India-Russia summit, focusing on the S-500 missile system. India has shown interest in acquiring additional S-400 squadrons, while Russia has assured the delivery of two remaining squadrons by November 2026. Although India has not actively pursued the S-500 previously, ongoing discussions may change this stance. The Indian defense ministry has also approved the acquisition of numerous S-400 missiles.
