CHANDIGARH: The registration number HR 88B 8888 has set a record bid of Rs 1.17 crore during an online auction conducted by the Haryana transport department, making it the highest ever for a VIP number in India. The highest bidder, identified as Sudhir from Hisar, is required to complete the payment to finalize the acquisition. The auction attracted 45 bidders, with a reserve price of Rs 50,000 and a participation fee of Rs 11,000. Previously, notable bids included Rs 36.4 lakh for CH01-DA 0001 and Rs 46 lakh for KL 07 DG 0007.
