Air freight operations between India and Afghanistan will soon resume, as announced by MEA Joint Secretary Anand Prakash during Afghan Commerce Minister Al-Haj Nooruddin Azizi’s visit to India. The activated Kabul-Delhi and Kabul-Amritsar routes will enhance connectivity and strengthen trade ties, focusing on agricultural exports and Indian exports of pharmaceuticals and textiles. Additionally, the two countries will assign trade attachés to their embassies and reactivate a joint working group on trade and investment. Current bilateral trade is around $1 billion, with significant potential for growth.
