NEW DELHI: The United States has approved a $93 million arms sale to India, including a Javelin Missile System and 216 M982A1 Excalibur projectiles. This deal aims to enhance India’s homeland defense and deter regional threats, while also strengthening the US-Indian strategic relationship. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency noted that this support aligns with US foreign policy objectives in the Indo-Pacific and South Asia. Additionally, India is procuring the Light Weight Modular Missile system from Thales to bolster its air defense capabilities.
