Jaishankar Opens Two New Indian Consulates in Russia

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar inaugurated two new Indian consulates in Russia, located in Yekaterinburg and Kazan, emphasizing their role in strengthening India-Russia bilateral ties and serving the large Indian community. He stated that these consulates would enhance technological, scientific, economic, and trade cooperation. Jaishankar also met President Putin to discuss preparations for the upcoming India-Russia Leaders Summit and regional developments. Despite global tensions and sanctions on Russia, India and Russia continue to maintain a resilient partnership.
