Ilaiyaraaja’s Copyright Battle
Music composer Ilaiyaraaja filed a complaint in the Madras High Court against the Tamil film ‘Dude’ for unauthorized use of his songs, claiming ongoing exploitation by music labels. The court adjourned the case to November 27, noting that a revenue report from Sony Music was to be filed, but it should not be submitted in a sealed cover as insisted by Ilaiyaraaja’s counsel.
