BSF Deploys Indian Dog Breeds at Borders

The Border Security Force (BSF) is training and deploying Indian dog breeds, specifically Rampur Hound and Mudhol Hound, along India’s borders, inspired by PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ initiative. So far, 150 Indian breed dogs have been trained and deployed out of a total of 700, with the program emphasizing their agility and suitability for tasks, showcased by a BSF dog winning the Best Tracker Dog award in 2024.
