A Bijnor district court has sentenced 30-year-old Shubhdeep Singh to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 40,000 for murdering taxi driver Ramnarayan during a trip from Haridwar to Najibabad on August 7, 2022. After shooting Ramnarayan and abandoning him on the roadside, Singh fled with the vehicle but was later arrested by Nagina police, where he confessed to the crime.
