NEW DELHI: Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange celebrated a victory at Azad Maidan in Mumbai after the Maharashtra government accepted most of his demands, including granting Kunbi caste certificates to eligible Marathas, allowing them to access OBC benefits. Following the announcement, Jarange ended his hunger strike, and the government pledged to issue resolutions and provide financial aid to families of deceased protesters.
