Ahmedabad woman gets 2 years in jail for throwing baby from 9th floor

A 25-year-old woman in Ahmedabad was sentenced to two years in prison for concealing the birth and disposing of her newborn’s body after throwing the infant from the ninth floor of a building. While she was acquitted of murder due to insufficient evidence of intent to kill, the court found her guilty under IPC Section 318, the maximum penalty being imposed.
