Flower praised Patidar’s leadership in his debut season and highlighted the calmness he exhibited under pressure, despite missing other significant players like Tim David and Devdutt Padikkal. RCB celebrated their maiden IPL title, with Hazlewood contributing 22 wickets and Patidar scoring 312 runs in the season.
