IPL: RCB head coach admits 'Operation Sindoor' gave them breathing space

TimesofIndia.com in Ahmedabad: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) head coach Andy Flower acknowledged that the one-week suspension of IPL 2025, termed ‘Operation Sindoor,’ ultimately benefited the team, allowing key players like captain Rajat Patidar and leading wicket-taker Josh Hazlewood to recover from injuries. Flower praised Patidar’s leadership in his debut season and highlighted the calmness he exhibited under pressure, despite missing other significant players like Tim David and Devdutt Padikkal. RCB celebrated their maiden IPL title, with Hazlewood contributing 22 wickets and Patidar scoring 312 runs in the season.
