NEW DELHI: A thunderstorm and heavy rain swept through Delhi-NCR, bringing relief from high temperatures, which reached 39.7°C. May recorded its wettest levels since 1901, with rainfall nearly tripling since 1951, while average temperatures have remained stable. Experts attribute the increased rainfall and storms to global warming and humidity, which pose health risks and strain infrastructure.
