Trump stated he helped ease tensions through trade discussions, while India maintains that issues regarding Jammu and Kashmir should be resolved bilaterally with Pakistan, dismissing Trump’s assertions and clarifying that trade was not discussed during ‘Operation Sindoor’. The Ministry of External Affairs reaffirmed India’s position that any territorial concerns must be addressed directly by India and Pakistan.
