Tata Electronics looks to double Apple iPhones enclosures production in India

Tata Electronics is doubling its iPhone enclosure production capacity at its Hosur facility in India, aiming to ramp up from 50,000 to 100,000 units ahead of Apple’s September product launches. This expansion aligns with Apple CEO Tim Cook’s statement about India’s growing role as a significant manufacturing hub for US-bound iPhones, following a shift in strategy to diversify manufacturing beyond China. Additionally, Tata Electronics has acquired stakes in Pegatron Technology India and Wistron, further solidifying its position in Apple’s supply chain amidst ongoing trade tensions.
