Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets, chasing down a target of 104 runs in just 10.1 overs, marking their second-biggest win in IPL history in terms of balls remaining. CSK struggled with the bat, managing only 103/9 in 20 overs, their lowest total at Chepauk and the lowest in the 2025 edition so far. KKR’s bowlers dominated, with Sunil Narine taking 3 wickets and CSK’s batters failing to find rhythm, resulting in their fifth consecutive loss and third consecutive defeat at Chepauk.
