Ukraine, along with its European allies and Canada, has urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to promptly respond to a US proposal for a partial ceasefire that Kyiv has accepted without any conditions. French foreign minister Jean-Noel Barrot and UK foreign secretary David Lammy accused Russia of continuing strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure despite a previous agreement. Following meetings with NATO foreign ministers in Brussels, US secretary of state Marco Rubio emphasized the urgency for Russia to demonstrate its commitment to peace within a matter of weeks.
