Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s first private sector military drone testing facility in Nagpur, featuring a 1.27-km runway for developing indigenous MALE and HALE drones, as well as a 1,080-acre test range for next-generation loitering munitions. The facility includes a Command & Control Centre, UAV Take-off Area, and various testing facilities for advanced weaponry, such as the Nagastra series of Loiter Munitions with ranges from 15 km to over 100 km. The PM also witnessed the display of indigenous weapons like the Pinaka Rocket System, air bombs, mines, and anti-tank guided missiles manufactured at the complex.
