Passenger flight, Air Force jet diverted from potential collision at DC airport

A Delta Air Lines flight departing from Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC, was instructed to divert to prevent a potential collision with four US Air Force T-38 Talon aircraft conducting a flyover of Arlington National Cemetery. The Airbus A319 with 131 passengers on board followed corrective instructions from air traffic controllers, causing a delay in its scheduled flight to Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport. Despite the diversion, no injuries were reported, and the Federal Aviation Administration plans to investigate the incident further.
