The first engine for India’s new indigenous fighter jet, the light combat aircraft Mk1a, has been delivered by GE Aerospace to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, marking the beginning of supplies delayed due to supply chain constraints. A total of 99 F404-IN20 engines are on order, with 12 expected to be sent this year to support the Air Force’s order for 83 jets.
