Maoist with ₹25 lakh reward killed in Chhattisgarh

The Chhattisgarh Police, along with central forces, eliminated a Maoist committee member with a ₹25 lakh reward and two others, bringing the total number of Left-wing extremists killed in 2025 to 100. The encounter occurred during an anti-Maoist operation in a forest on the Dantewada-Bijapur border, resulting in the death of Sudhir alias Murli, a key Maoist figure. This development precedes Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Chhattisgarh on March 30.
