India and China discussed the early resumption of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra during the 33rd WMCC meeting in Beijing, aiming to ease tensions and promote bilateral relations. Senior officials from both countries, including Gourangalal Das and Hong Liang, addressed the need for peace along the LAC and explored measures for cross-border cooperation, in addition to implementing decisions from the 23rd Special Representatives’ meeting. The pilgrimage, significant for Indian devotees, has been on hold due to border disputes, highlighting the importance of maintaining stability for overall relations between the two nations.
