BEL engineer held for sharing classified info to Pak handlers: Karnataka HM

A senior engineer at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) in Karnataka was arrested for allegedly sharing sensitive information with Pakistani intelligence officials, including details on communication and radar systems. The engineer, Deepraj Chandra, was accused of divulging classified information about vital decisions and products manufactured by the country, leading to concerns of treason and national security breaches. Chandra, a native of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, who worked in BEL’s research team, is now under investigation by military intelligence authorities.
