Ministry of Defence signs 8 mn deal with Rosoboronexport for procurement of engines for T-72 Tanks for Indian Army

The Ministry of Defence signed a $248 million contract with Rosoboronexport for 1000 Horsepower Engines for T-72 Tanks in various conditions. The deal includes Transfer of Technology to boost Make in India initiative in defence sector. Equipping the Indian Army’s T-72 Tanks with 1000 HP Engines will enhance battlefield mobility and offensive capability.
