Smuggler dead, BSF Jawan injured in Tripura clash at the India-Bangladesh border

A clash along the India-Bangladesh border in Tripura resulted in the death of a Bangladeshi smuggler and injury to a BSF jawan. The incident occurred when the smugglers intruded into Indian territory near the BOP at Putia and attacked the BSF patrol party, leading to the jawan firing a non-lethal round in self-defence. The injured smuggler later succumbed to his injuries, while the injured BSF jawan is undergoing treatment.
