HAL and Safran strengthen partnership with long-term LEAP engine deal

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed a long-term contract with Safran Aircraft Engines for supplying turbine forged parts for the LEAP engine programme, solidifying their industrial collaboration in line with India’s “Make in India” policy. The agreement was finalized at Aero India 2025. Additionally, Safran Electronics & Defense is establishing a new production facility and R&D centre in Bengaluru, further expanding their presence in the region.
