HAL’s HJT-36 jet trainer, now known as ‘Yashas’, was showcased at Aero India 2025 with upgraded avionics and cockpit features for improved training and operational efficiency. Yashas is designed for Stage II pilot training, counter insurgency, and aerobatics, powered by the reliable AL55I Jet engine. The enhancements aim to enhance training effectiveness and ensure superior thrust management, making it a versatile and capable aircraft for various missions.
