14 Maoists killed along Odisha-Chhattisgarh border

Two top-ranking Maoists, including Jayram with a Rs 1 crore reward, were among the 14 Naxals killed in a joint operation by central and state police forces along the Chhattisgarh-Odisha border. This marks the elimination of 15 senior ranking cadres in the past year, with Home Minister Amit Shah calling it a significant blow to Naxalism and emphasizing the government’s commitment to a Maoist-free India. The operation also resulted in the recovery of a large cache of firearms, ammunition, and IEDs.
