At least 12 Indian nationals have been killed while fighting for Russia in its war against Ukraine, with 16 more categorized as missing. The Indian External Affairs Ministry is making efforts to locate and repatriate them. Out of 126 cases of Indian nationals serving in the Russian Army, 96 have been discharged and returned to India. Efforts are being made to repatriate those still in combat, including those who were misled into serving in the army.
