In Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, security forces killed three Maoists in an encounter as part of the ongoing operation against the Maoists. Union home minister Amit Shah has set a deadline of March 2026 to eradicate Maoism from the country, with significant progress made last year in Chhattisgarh. The operation resulted in the recovery of firearms, explosives, and the bodies of the slain Maoists, with a total of 12 Naxalites killed in separate encounters in the state this year.
