Taiwan detects eight Chinese aircraft, six navy vessels near its territory

The Ministry of National Defence of Taiwan detected eight aircraft and six naval vessels from the People’s Liberation Army and Navy near its territory as of 6:00 am (UTC+8) on Sunday, with seven aircraft crossing the median line into Taiwan’s ADIZ. The Ministry responded accordingly to the situation, monitoring and addressing the presence of the PLA and PLAN assets. This incident adds to the ongoing complex and longstanding geopolitical conflict between Taiwan and China over sovereignty.
