French Navy wants open, stable Indo-Pacific space with all regional partners: official

A senior French Navy officer, Rear Admiral Jacques Mallard, stated that France aims to promote a free, open, and stable Indo-Pacific space with all regional partners, emphasizing enhancing interoperability with allies worldwide. Speaking aboard the Charles de Gaulle at Mormugao Port Authority in South Goa as part of Mission CLEMENCEAU 25, the French Carrier Strike Group is conducting joint training with allies in the Indian Ocean before moving to Indonesia and the Pacific Ocean for exercises. This mission’s main objectives include strengthening partnerships, enhancing maritime security in major straits, and contributing to the security of French nationals and interests in the Indo-Pacific.
