Quad vows to work vigorously towards free and stable Indo-Pacific

India and other Quad member nations, including the US, Australia, and Japan, reaffirmed their commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific region that is peaceful, stable, and prosperous in a joint statement marking the 20th anniversary of Quad cooperation. The foreign ministers emphasized the importance of working together in response to the future needs of the Indo-Pacific, amidst growing concerns over China’s activities in the region. The Quad also reiterated its support for the centrality of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the Indo-Pacific.
