Seven to eight Taliban personnel were killed in Upper Kurram district along the Durand Line as Afghan Taliban targeted Pakistani border posts in Ghozgarhi, Matha Sangar, Kot Ragha, and Tari Mengal areas using light and heavy weaponry. According to Dawn, one Pakistani soldier was killed, and 11 others were wounded, while Taliban claimed 19 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the attacks. Days prior, Pakistani aircraft carried out airstrikes in Afghanistan’s Barmal district, targeting Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan bases, resulting in the deaths of several militants and destruction of four bases.
