According to Al Jazeera, Afghanistan’s Taliban forces targeted “several points” in Pakistan, days after Pakistani aircraft conducted aerial bombardments inside Afghanistan. The Taliban’s statement did not explicitly mention Pakistan but referred to attacks beyond the disputed “hypothetical line” border. The Taliban spokesperson stated that the attacks were in retaliation for hideouts supporting attacks in Afghanistan, indicating a cross-border response.
