All states/UTs expected to complete draft labour code rules by March | Business News
All 36 states and Union territories are expected to finalize draft rules under the four labour codes by March 31, 2025, with most already completing pre-publication. The codes aim to ease labour market rigidities, protect workers' rights, and consolidate 44 labour Acts. The Labour Ministry is also working on a social security framework for gig and platform workers, collaborating with stakeholders and the International Labour Organization for a comprehensive assessment and implementation plan.
