Hafiz Abdul Rahman Makki, brother-in-law of Mumbai attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed and deputy chief of banned Jamaat-ud-Dawa, passed away in Lahore due to a heart attack after suffering from diabetes. Makki, who had been previously imprisoned for terror financing, was a designated global terrorist by the United Nations in 2023, facing restrictions on assets, travel, and arms. His death marks the loss of a key figure in the extremist group, known for advocating Pakistan’s ideology.
