Adani's defence arm to buy air works at Rs 400 crore valuation

Adani Defence Systems & Technologies Ltd (ADSTL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, is acquiring an 85.8% stake in Air Works India (Engineering) Pvt Ltd for ₹400 crore, aiming to enhance its presence in the aviation sector and expand capabilities in civil and defence MRO services. The share purchase agreement, signed by ADSTL, reflects a strategic move to build an integrated aviation services ecosystem and strengthen India’s aviation infrastructure, as highlighted by director Jeet Adani. This acquisition aligns with Adani Defence’s plan announced in October 2022 to acquire Air Works, marking a significant step towards achieving its aviation industry goals.
