Navy's latest survey ship INS Nirdeshak to be commissioned at Vizag on Dec 18

INS Nirdeshak, the latest survey ship of the Indian Navy, with over 80 per cent indigenous content, will be commissioned at Visakhapatnam on December 18, showcasing India’s ship design and construction expertise and the Navy’s commitment to self-reliance. The 110-meter-long vessel, built at GRSE Kolkata, is equipped with advanced hydrographic and oceanographic survey equipment, emphasizing India’s focus on Aatmanirbharta and technological advancement in naval capabilities. The commissioning ceremony, to be presided over by Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, will highlight the significance of INS Nirdeshak in enhancing India’s maritime capabilities.
