The INS Vikrant, India’s indigenous aircraft carrier, has achieved full operational status after completing final operational clearance this year, according to Vice Admiral V Srinivas. The ship, symbolizing pride for the country and the Navy, is now fully operational under the Western Fleet and can undertake all naval operations and commitments. Commissioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022, INS Vikrant is the largest ship ever built in India, with state-of-the-art features and the capacity to accommodate a crew of 1,600.
